Unless flight volume increases dramatically Mercer County will suffer huge financial losses, and if the flight volume increases, the increased traffic, noise, pollution and health consequences will destroy the quality of life of this region.

Air Pollution
Trenton-Mercer Airport has conducted ZERO analyses of post-build, actual use impacts on air quality, climate, or public health.

Water Pollution
Environmental contamination from poisonous “Forever Chemicals” PFAS on airport property could impact groundwater, drinking water, rivers, streams, and the entire Delaware River watershed.

Financial Turmoil
County officials deny expansion projects will increase TTN air traffic while at the same time claim increased Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs) will pay for their $200 million scheme.

How Does The Trenton-Mercer Airport Expansion Affect Me?

Noise Pollution
A wide range of studies show noise pollution causes physical and mental health issues and can cause learning and low test scores in children at every stage of development.

Longterm Debt
Mercer County officials claim increased Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs) will pay for their $200 million scheme. At the current rate, it would take a whopping 70 years to pay off the bill.

Already Contaminated?
The NJ Department of Environmental Protection is currently suing the Federal Government for PFAS contamination at the adjacent Naval Air Warfare Center which is co-owned by Trenton-Mercer Airport. That contamination COULD already be under the airport itself.

Taxpayers Bear Burden
Mercer County Taxpayers are ultimately responsible for planned $200 Million in airport bonds; this will be added to current $660 million existing Mercer bond debt.

Air Pollution
Dramatic rise in fine particulate air pollution from increased flights is known to cause respiratory, cardiac, maternal, and newborn health issues of residents in communities surrounding airports.
